Washington: George Floyd, the African-American, whose death has stirred violent protests across the US states, had tested positive for the coronavirus in April, as per the autopsy report. The medical examiner’s report released by the Hennepin County medical examiner the 46-year-old had tested positive for the coronavirus on April 3 as reported by The New York Times (NYT). The county’s top medical examiner Andrew Baker said that the Minnesota Department of Health had swabbed George Floyd’s nose after his death and he had tested positive for the virus. The examiner said that the positive result during his death is possibly because of the impact of his earlier infection.
However, it clarified there is no connection of the virus on his death.
Meanwhile, protests in America have not come to an end. The residents of United States are still on the streets showing placards and raising their voice against the death of George Floyd. A matter of relief is that the lootings have stopped since the deployment of national guards.

Floyd was killed by a policeman as he exerted pressure on his neck publicly in America. The whole incident was captured on camera which was followed by outrage among people. The accused of African American citizen George Floyd death have been taken into custody. ll four police officers involved in the death of George Floyd have been now been charged with Derek Chauvin who had pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck facing second-degree murder charges. After the horrific incident, they were all fired from the department.
The 40 year old was an experienced police officer who was in the force for the past 19 years and according to a report by Associated Press had medals for bravery. He had initially trained as a cook and served in the Army as a military police officer. But he also had 17 previous complaints against him including one in which he was accused of pulling a woman out of her car during a speeding stop.
